This is some really bad stuff here and I am not sure what if anything can be done to stop it. Like the rest of the bad that is and has been happening in this world played out by the money at the top, this is the final step in closeing the last free speech down completely, that thing that is our most powerfull weapon.

some people want to control the world.
luckily some countries won't adopt acta as an option.
they'll keep on trying and we'll keep on getting round it.
yes specially the last part is unbelievable, bla bla conducted in secrecy and not part of any international organisation
it's international okay, why do you think its so fuckin big and brash.
they need to leave us alone. or what they're doing will backfire.

At some point this will pass in secret disguised as something else. It is not about copywrites and it never has been. The adgenda is about stoping the common man from getting access to information other than what media outfits such as Columbia for example which is along with all of the others owed by the controlling elite want you or I to see. They are very scared and have good reason. Just in the short time that I myself have been searching, the things that I have been able to uncover are mind boggeling. There are sites out there that are being systematicaly shut down. These sites are trying to take up the fight and get this information out to you and me. They have broken no laws but are being taken out of the picture because they know what is happening and ACTA wants to crush all opposition to and access to information of any kind about the agreement. If this is allowed to happen, as of the date the agreement comes online we will all be criminals and subject to search and seizure, internet access termination, wile never being charged or convicted of any crime and by people who are not even in law enforcement.
This is exactly how the real world works. You think you voted and have a say. The path is predetermined and fed to us all done in secret and most of it in plain sight.
i agree that acta needs to be stopped.
i'm not sure how though.
i agree with Benny, the only thing they want us to be are pretty little consumers of prechewed crap

it's been like that for as long as i can remember. things will change though. it has to. the business models are outdated. people are begining to see the greed and dislike how it's growing. people are doing something about it but it will take time.

The talks are being held at this very moment in secret again. I've been tring to get in contact with several outfits about it but they seem to have been shut down midstream. It does not look good, not good at all.
Rumors are that new laws are going to hit Canada within the next 30 days. If that happens and it looks likely to, the rest of you are screwed. Canada is really the last hold out as i see things and if they get it here then i see it as a done deal world wide. It's fucked up guy's, really fucked up. Hope the hell i am wrong.

Well it's a world agreement between all of the countries involved. Those that are not involved will have to agree to it before being allowed certain trade agreements in the future. What it does is allow for censership of anything not wanted public. It gives ISP's the power to disconnect users if they think inapropriate use has occured. Who decides what that is is a good question. In order for ISP's to do this they will be preforming deep packet inspestions i think it is called. That means all of our private stuff. It is the same as opening your mail and reading it before you get it and censoring it. This will be done with out consent and is going through on the premiss of looking for copy protected illegal downloads. It is an invaison of privacy and the same thing that is done to a criminals mail in prison. ISP's will have no choice in the matter as thay are being charged with the policeing end of it without being legal law enforcement. In essence anything said online will be monitered, thats what it boils down to. They will actually have the right to enter your home and remove your computer equipment, disconect your sirvace and never have charged you with a crime.
One of the link's in my first post, the last one has a clickable player on the left, click it and listen to what he has to say on the topic.
i'm totally gobsmacked after listening
it's interesting. thanks benny. i remember illunitic over at sb posting about acta as well.

We elected them, now they have the power. We put them above us and now they want what's best for them.

The annoying thing about this as well is that the Recording Companies complain that they haven't enough money and the artist is losing out and then they waste money on this secrecy bullshit. They are trying to gain the upper hand.

But even if they take over the internet we'll be back in a better way. Pirates are pioneers Smile.

They allready have the upper hand, what they are doing is assuring they keep it.
