I had a tv station that played - showed tv shows I liked every day and every night. My most prized was the repeats of the Dick Cavett Show. . . . The fact that I can't eat my salad while watching that program is going to cause me not to write poetry, and just be ignorant, angry for some years. I want to prove not to cross me, don't take the D. C. Show away from me . . . or I will stop. And wont write poetry anymore.

I've made these threats before. Nobody cares. . . . But this site is going slow again. So I have to speed up.

I don't respond right-away, unless you're newsclippings. And she got highly offended because of something I said to her after Donald Trump got elected. Which seems absurd to me.

As if poetry has anything to do with politics. Which it don't.

I find it odd that people get offended so quick.
Hi rowens,

Site is going slow again. Not as slow as before but it is slowing down. I don't think it has much to do with the participation of those who are already members, but maybe has to do more with the consistency of newcomers? Idk, last used-to-be newbie I remember sticking around and posting good work is Knot and also Richard, but I wasn't here when Richard started. I'd like to see more new folks like Knot and Richard but they're just not turning up. Maybe if we went full throttle on social media we could reel in more noobs, like say, we started an instagram and asked everyone on here to follow that instagram page and help promote it? We could have fun contending with all the Rupi Kaurs. I'm just brainstorming.

PS- I find it odd that you find it odd people get offended so quick, especially in today with Trump in office
I lost you at social media. . . . And . . . Trump isn't the President of the World. Why act like he is? . . . And this is an instant moment question.

I was more into why I can't get the Dick Cavett show anymore.
poetry often has a connection/relationship with poetry so on that one i call foul. i've started watch the new doctor who; don't ask me why because i don't know. i never watched the previous series' what's the plural for series? and yep it slows down but i expected that. where basically a site with 2o to 30 active members. i find it odd that some people don't get offened quicker, i suppose it's from what side the coin you're looking from.

Perhaps it's a bad idea, but I think it's worth considering. What's wrong with social media? Was it just off topic

And no, fortunately Trump isn't the president of the world. And I gotcha about the in-the-moment question.

Never heard of the Dick Cavett show. I'll have to check it out
we tried the off site promotional stuff and all it did was drag in poets who only wanted loving and hand clappings of their work.

Haha I thought we mighta tried something like that in the past. Well, that's sad. Don't really know what to say
alex we got some of the members to agree to contribute; not many but some. we're basically a new small site and as such it'll take some time to build on it. that we're doing better than we were is a good sign for me, just stick in there and post as you can. tell friends and fellow poets, but explain how the feedback rolls in here.

I was just upset that I can no longer watch reruns of the Dick Cavett Show on a cable station called DECADES here in the United States. Seeing how it's the only station, besides the one that plays Gilmore Girls, that I ever watch, I was wondering if it was legal for me to complain. That they took that station away.

The D. C. Show had some really goddamn good stuff.
I completely forgot that I made this post. That just shows how my mind is going. Going away. I'm damn glad I didn't say anything worse than I did.  . . . And to answer your question, Alex, about social media. I think you know the answer. Some people don't need a public outlet 24/7. Trump's one, I'm another. If only there were more Ralph Naders in the world, and we could go back to the simple good vs evil days of George W. Bush and Al Gore.

I meant to say platform, not outlet. But I don't think anybody would've noticed if I hadn't said something.

Maybe I should start critiquing poems again, that would be a novel approach.
